Hoodia Patch
Pick up any newspaper or magazine you’ll find majority of the vendors are claiming that the so-called “hoodia patch” will kill your appetite. Furthermore, they also work even better and faster in comparison to any regular hoodia in a capsule, tablet, or liquid. The claim seems to be good but do they really work that’s the main question. Hoodia patch generally works by putting it on your skin and then it starts suppressing your appetite in a time-release fashion. It goes into your skin through pores and then gets dissolved into your bloodstream. And the ultimate result is that you are ought to feel less hungry during the day. Ones your hunger is suppressed, automatically you’ll start to lose unwanted body fat.
This idea seems to be good but to be honest only on paper. As till now there are no proofs that the “hoodia patch” actually works. Till now no clinical test or case study have been done to prove this. Thus, it wise to be cautious and if any vendor dare to claim to have a scientific study or clinical trial that supports the validity of their “hoodia patch,” such “proof” then mind you they are fake. They are simply supporting wrong conception just to endorse, promote, and sell the so-called “hoodia patch” to the unsuspecting public.
Very few know that hoodia patch began as the birth control. But since then the fact indicates that such a patch must endure very critical and demanding scientific tests before it is finally approved and given the “green light” to become available to the general public.
You’ll be amazed to know that not a single hoodia patch whether online or offline is prescription-driven. This suggests that such diet patches have not undergone scientific clinical trials or testing. The crux is that no vendor has a right to claim that their “hoodia patch” works more effectively than hoodia capsules, tablets, or in liquid.
This means spending thousands of dollars over hoodia patch is nothing but waste of money and also taking risk of your health. Till now not a single scientific backing or documentation has been done from a third party that supports the “hoodia patch” as an authentic product worthy of being purchased. So the question arises why would you want to risk buying something that might not work at all? Thus, it is wise to save yourself from unnecessary tension and frustrations. So, avoid falling prey to high flying claims of questionable “hoodia patches”. Instead, consider real hoodia in a capsule, tablet, or liquid.

Hoodia Reviews
You’ll be amazed by the fact that there are at least 15 different varieties of hoodia. But only the hoodia gordonii species is believed to stifle appetite. The negative reviews may be of products containing some other variety of hoodia. While checking the authentication always makes sure there are two certifications that a dieter can look for to confirm that a product contains South African hoodia gordonii. Those two certificates are C.I.T.E.S. certificate and the Analytical Report. Majority of the products which are being displayed should carry these two certificates and should be published on their websites or package can be purchased with confidence.
Also some hoodia products carry additional ingredients, such as green tea. According to few health experts’ green tea is also considered to be a natural appetite suppressant, but contains caffeine which is a stimulant. Few people are bit sensitive to stimulants thus they may report a negative hoodia review if they are consuming products which carry green tea. But this combination may work wonders for others that’s why dietary supplements work on an individual basis. It is not necessary to try a product or a variety of products, before the best product for a specific individual is found. Try to read more hoodia reviews and also contact local physician before start consuming hoodia.
Manufactures which guarantee their products a positive hoodia review, sometime offer no guarantee that whether customers will accept that or not. Also many companies accept returns of opened bottles when a customer is dissatisfied and do not charge additional fees. However there are few websites also dedicated to comparing different products and publishing customer comments and reviews. These can be found by typing in the search term “hoodia reviews” or “hoodia review”. Somehow it is difficult to judge a product based solely on a customer’s hoodia review. This reason behind is that customer expectation is often unrealistic. Generally hoodia and other appetite suppressants only work when used in conjunction with a proper diet and reasonable exercise. As far as the information goes there is nothing that will help a person lose weight, if that person does not make any lifestyle changes. Hoodia is nothing but an appetite suppressant and it may also appear that a lot of people say that a specific hoodia product does not work. Thus, it is wise to read all the possible hoodia reviews so that you got to know that hoodia you’re going to consume is useful to you or not. And also it is wise to remember that satisfied customers often say nothing. Anyone who has worked in retail is aware that comment and suggestion boxes contain more negatives than positives. This may be the primary reason for negative hoodia reviews.

Do Hoodia Diet Pills Work? How?
"What they found was when they fed it to animals, the animals ate it and lost weight," says Dr. Richard Dixey, who heads an English pharmaceutical company called Phytopharm that is trying to develop weight-loss products based on hoodia.
San Bushmen from South African uses Hoodia to curb their hunger and thirst during long journey of hunting trips. Hoodia extracts has been used in producing Hoodia diet pills and have been shown to produce the same effects of reducing desire of food and drink. For such a wonderful thing, are there any side effects?
The 60 MINUTES report on CBS news that featured Hoodia, says: "Hoodia is very different from other diet stimulants like Ephedra and Phenfen that are now banned because of dangerous side effects. Hoodia does not stimulate the body. In fact, scientists say it fools the brain by making you think you're full, even if you've just eaten a morsel."
The effect of Hoodia is very different from stimulants. Stimulants tends to make you feel awake and alert, but have no effect on your appetite. It tends to accelerate your heart rate and sometimes increase your blood pressure, for some people, the excess stimulation could leads to other health problems like insomnia, nervousness and more. Therefore, it is important to double check the ingredient in your diet pill to see if there is any stimulant; Hoodia Diet Pills should be void of stimulant completely.
How does Hoodia diet work? Research from Cambridgeshire bio-pharmaceutical company, Phytopharm has shown that in the overall picture, p57 (the active molecule in hoodia diet pills) influences the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that controls satiation or the sense of fullness. P-57 misleads the brain and the body to believe that you have just eaten. Further more, it works by falsely leads the body to believe that your glucose level is high therefore, you have enough energy just being introduced to the blood stream, no need for food immediately.
Biochemically, the active component in Hoodia Diet Pills (p57) has shown to elevate adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the blood stream. Scientist then extrapolates from this to form the following hypothesis that the high level of ATP is the key to the appetite suppression effect of Hoodia diet pills. A simpler explanation is the following: ATP is our body's energy source. When we eat food, our blood sugar level increase, then the cells in our body take the glucose and turn it into ATP in the mitochondria, which are then used as a source of energy. Therefore, hoodia diet pill (p57) works on increasing the energy level without increase intake of calories. With high energy in our body already, our central nerve system is happy to think that our body is taking care of, no need to send signal to our digestive system for more food.

The Hoodia Patch: Better Than Capsules?
Are you considering the hoodia patch? Before you get your hopes up thinking this is the answer to your weight loss woes, I have some bad news for you, hoodia patches may not be what they're cracked up to be. While hoodia diet pills and products that contain authentic hoodia gordonii can be effective appetite suppressants, patches may be about as effective as a band aid!
Read any literature or visit any website that sells hoodia patches and you'll see their biggest claim is that their products work more effectively than capsules. The idea behind the patch is that you'll get a slow release of hoodia gordonii throughout the day as it passes through your skin and into your bloodstream.
Companies selling the hoodia patch will claim that since it bypasses your stomach and enters the bloodstream through the skin, it will suppress your appetite quicker and more effectively than capsules or liquids.
On the surface, this makes total sense but unfortunately there is no scientific evidence to back this theory. There isn't one scientific or clinical study to date on the effectiveness of hoodia patches. In fact, there are very little studies on the effectiveness of hoodia gordonii itself!
What about the nicotine patch or the birth control patch? They work after all, so the hoodia patch must be effective. Sellers of hoodia patches will try to make this comparison but don't fall for it. There is a big difference between these products.
Birth control patches require a prescription. Nicotine patches initially required a prescription and only recently have been over the counter. The hoodia patch has never required a prescription. Why is this distinction so important?
Any product that requires a prescription or once did has had to undergo rigorous testing and be subjected to governmental regulations before it can be marketed to the public as being effective. None of the hoodia patches sold today require a prescription. Doesn't that tell you something?
If you don't buy the clinical studies argument, what about the commonsense argument? Let me explain. Hoodia gordonii is a cactus-like plant grown in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. It has been used for centuries by the San tribe to stave off hunger during long hunting trips.
They cut off about 2-3 inches of the plant, peel it, and then eat it. This small piece of the plant suppresses their appetite for hours. What more closely resembles eating the actual plant - swallowing a pill that contains the powder of the ground up plant, or sticking a patch on your skin? I think you would agree that a pill would be more effective than a patch.
While I firmly believe that hoodia patches are worthless, I don't want to leave you with the impression that every hoodia capsule on the market is effective. In fact, according to a recent study, a majority of the hoodia supplements on the market today are fake so they're as worthless as the patch. That same study concluded that only a handful of hoodia diet pills contain authentic hoodia gordonii.
Until there is a hoodia patch that actually works, your money will be better spent on a high quality hoodia diet pill that contains authentic hoodia gordonii and has been proven to be effective.
Convinced the hoodia patch isn't for you and would like to know which hoodia diet pills really work? Visit http://hoodiaandweightloss.com for reviews and recommendations.
